This replacement kit is nice to have because then I do not have to buy a new device. The only issue I have ever had with the hand crank SkipDr is that the crank slips off during use. I believe this might be a design mechanism so that the user does not over-grind the surface of the disc with the sanding wheel.

SkipDr repairs most damaged discs, really helpful when one buys used DVD's. Eventually you have to get more repair fluid and the wheel wears. The kit keeps the SkipDr going.
