More to come
I know Carv is revolutionary. But is it effective for level 1 skiers (and should it be)? I think so - and it could be very meaningful to this market. I want to send a detailed summary of my experience with Carv. I need to summarize my notes (complete with suggestions). Here are some quick issues. 1. In spite of ensuring location settings on - it dropped location a lot - and it never knew I was in Santa Fe, NM. Is this due to poor cellular service. If so, my GPS app knew where I was... This issue can be improved if we can at least add the location (via lat/long?), ski resort, and run names? 2. Carv appears to be driven by turns, lots of turns. Most of the app will not record movement if not turning? But that's an issue for Level 1. So, it needs to record skiing movement (even bad skiing) - that would help in the assessments. I.E. "You skied 0.25 miles with 2 turns only in this session." 3. I followed the instructions for my partner to video me (QR code), but his page would not load. (Again, is this just an issue with mountain cell service). With AI will it be possible to just load a video and get a similar assessment as if it were videoed live? I'm a 10-year level 1 skier (and a Boomer ;o). My partner thinks Carv is a fad. I DON'T. It's an incredible use of readily available technology. My ski:IQ was 81 & 77 - which I totally agree with. I tried several of the trainings, but often I didn't get a read out. I watched many of the training videos. (I have some thoughts for a level 1 series), even if your primary target audience is intermediate & advanced. PS. Don't use my real name - my app persona is Ebony Haze.

Great to learn carving
This is the second season I ski and I got myself Carv by recommendation from a friend. To me it's very useful device because it helps to really understand your skiing level in very details. For pro skiers probably won't be so much of a help. By the way, installing them took me a lot of effort )

Minor Issues
Carv provides great feedback. It's definitely helped me improve my skiing. On several occasions, I've had trouble connecting the app to the sensors. Unplugging and re-plugging the sensors usually fixes the problem.
