Pretty but requires skilled sewing.

The Kit : I got the pattern and the templates. Everything we really needed to make the quilt was there. Its actually for my friend who quilts with me and is the skilled quilter( I am not). She is thrilled with it all and thinks it is beautifully presented. We have started cutting the bits out and planning how we will make our quilts but we haven't yet completed it yet! I expect as long as one can sew together the stars and not boggle their centers, all will be well. So my friends' quilt will be perfect because she can do this. But its unlikely that I can. So I will cut out(eliminate) the central seams of the kites coming to a point, required to make the centers of the stars, and I will make the star in one piece and then quilt the center to make it look as though there is a seam instead. Time will tell. But we are both looking forward to this challenging quilt.

I purchased the pattern and the templates. I am hand piecing this quilt. The acrylic templates are very high quality and I love them. It’s very important to be accurate when sewing such small pieces. Yes, you can make the templates yourself but you would need to be extremely accurate. The acrylic templates are the way to go. Fabric Garden - good, fast, reliable service.
