Best Lokking C30 Rear Brace
Has to be the best looking rear brace you can get for a C30, plus quick release. Took the squirrely feeling right out of the stock rear. Installation was straightforward, but fitment could have been better. The bar could slide into one side easily as it supposed to and the other required a mallet to tap into place. The holes on either the brackets or the bar should have a few mm left/right to make the install easy and account for slight variance. The quick release mechanism works well with the handle big enough to get leverage to tighten or loosen. This is a custom product by alg and can have delays. I didn't know that before ordering and had to wait several months. Communication was minimal from the team. If you need this quickly, I recommend emailing ahead to check their stock of this and other in-house products.

Great product!
This C30 rear removable brace is so easy to install it literally only took 10mins for the very first installation. Subsequent install/uninstall only takes a minute. The product is well built, and more importantly stablized the rear end, making the rear end twists less and offering a more confident cornering experience. Highly recommended!

Great product.
I’ve held off on ordering a brace for my C30 for years, ever since the original ‘TheBelgian’ brace. The main stumbling point has always been the removability, to be able to drop the rear seats and be able to transport a load. Nothing was available for a long time, but eventually the Elevate brace was developed. Problem is though, that the Elevate brace is not toolless, and I’m not overly keen on the brackets. Enter the ALG brace. Well constructed, very strong, and tool-less. It will allow some misalignment (unlike the Elevate brace) which is essential in a floppy car chassis, and is genuinely toolless. With the clamps done up FT I am happy to report that there is absolutely zero movement and it is properly solid. There’s no need for a K-Brace over this - it’s plenty stiff enough. There are only a couple of things I can pick fault with, but to be honest they are minor. 1. The flanges on the brackets that the brace slides into could do with a slight chamfer on them. Sliding the bar in and out isn’t easy (nor should it be, you want a relatively tight fit to reduce play), but it would make it slightly easier to get the bar end in with a chamfer. 2. The ALG badges cover the welds between the bar and end tabs, and that’s fine, but I find them a little easy to knock off. You can stick them back on but over time I’d imagine they’re at risk. 3. My brace didn’t come with any instructions, which is okay as I was happy to just slice through my boot carpet and fit it that way, but it might be worth including some with a template on where to cut for less confident owners. Overall these are minor complaints though, and it’s a great product, no regrets.
