Lots of growers don't care for the soil less media ph, but I find the data very useful in determining which way to push the ph while growing. Instead of waiting for visual signs from the plant, I can know the ph exactly and shift it to where it needs to be to better allow the plant to focus on building buds and not stressing over nutrient issues. I wasn't expecting it to be so small. It's about half the size of the bluelabs, but also half the cost. So the penetrative depth isn't as deep. I enjoy the quick readings, 2 decimal places and ability to open it up and add more gel for longevity of the sensor. This is my first time purchasing a Hanna sensor and I do enjoy how scientific it is. The glass sensor tip and removable sleeve for cleaning is also a nice feature. What I don't like is the container that holds the solution the probe sits in when not in use. It could have been designed better similar to the bluelabs which incorporates a container and a way to probe the ground to insert the probe. They do sell a separate part for this purpose, but an all in one design would have been ideal. It's not a deal breaker as the price is excellent and I usually just leave the probe in the container for most of the grow.
