Surprisingly roles smoothly. My speed still sucks, but it’s a mountain bike tire. I ride on fire roads through the woods, so they can be muddy, sandy, leaf piles, rocks… i run this on my front suspension. Has great compliance, makes the bike feel a little more forgiving. Rides like velcro over grass, actually the nobs dig in and can make it tiring. So they do a great job. I would recommend this tire if you find yourself with 30/30/30/10 sand/rock/packed/road
