Diamine Black Ivy - Ink Sample

Gorgeous earthy green

I loved this ink from the moment I first tried it. More than anything, it reminds me of a Douglas fir in the late evening. It's a dark, muted green that leans blue—more of an earthy tone than a jewel tone. With paper or lighting that doesn't showcase sheen well, it has lovely shading, approaching black where it pools. On better paper or in brighter light, the darker areas take on a red sheen that's earthier and less flashy than most I've seen: it's a deep red with a hint of brown. The ink has a moderate-to-wet flow that seems to play well with my pens. A water droplet dabbed off after ten seconds took away much of the color but left enough of the line that I could still read it. Overall, I am very happy with this ink.
