General Finishes High Performance Dead Flat Topcoat (NEW!)

This does exactly what it claims. Produces an absolutely flat finish that does not change the colour of the wood. It darkens the wood when it goes on, but, don’t panic. It returns to the wood’s colour when it dries. I used it over paint stripped, sanded and bleached wood (the beachy coastal raw wood look). I did 4 coats on the coffee table I was refinishing, because it will be getting a lot of use. I used two coats on the sideboard as this will have less traffic. My only complaint is it’s not available in Australia, and it’s pretty expensive. I ordered a pint originally and this just did the top of the sideboard and the top of the coffee table, two coats. So I ordered some more. But to me, worth it.
