To be fair, this is a gift so I have not used it.
It feels more substantial than others I have seen and I like that it is black and won't show soot from the wick.

Elegantly practical!
I love the shape and color of the wick trimmer—very elegant and practical. Trims beautifully. And the trimmer is priced very nicely!
