Farpoint Dovetail Plate - Takahashi Clamshell

Ok, just not quite perfect

The Farpoint dovetail plate has a recess on the topside and hole pattern that matches perfectly with the Takahashi saddle. The supplied screws work nicely but extend beyond the backside of the plate. All-in-all, this plate works well for my telescope. However, the plate I received had a blue-ish/bare metal finish. It did not look like the image on the website which appeared to be black powder-coated. Also, there were some manufacturing scars on the topside which made the finish incomplete across the surface. The backside had an edge portion of the plate that was not cleanly CNC'd. And one of the screw holes was not cleanly tapped. I had to screw a screw in and out a couple of times to get past the rough spot. Lastly, the thickness of this Farpoint plate was much thinner than other decent quality plates. I expected better.
