Wonderful Product
My students learned so much from this project. They put the planets in order. They placed attribute cards in front of each planet. Then, they used Ozobots with inner planets attached to them on the provided Ozobot cover to create a model of the solar system. They were able to time the planets moving in their orbits. Having a model allowed them to understand abstract ideas about space and planets' positions and time spent orbiting the sun. They also coded the Ozobots to rotate as they orbited the sun. This allowed them to see and comprehend the difference between orbiting and rotating visually. Students were able to interpret data and make comparisons among planets orbits. It allowed them to apply this knowledge to the other planets in the solar system. Students used critical thinking and cooperative learning throughout this project.
