Great Gift Idea for First Time Carvers

These carving kits are an awesome gift idea for older kids. My 11 and 12 year old grandsons loved them and the tools are very safe to use. They came with very good instructions and educational information about the animals. I had one for their much younger 5 year old brother, who was able to complete the project with some help!

Fun project, was hoping it to be green, but our soapstone was tan. A bit messy but the turtle came out great. Instructions were fairly easy to follow. Would definitely buy another one with a different animal
