Remember Thy First Love, by Archimandrite Zacharias

This is my favorite book by Archimandrite Zacharias. I first learned of it years ago through his recorded lectures, 'The Three Stages of the Spiritual Life', selected from an historic series of lectures by Fr Zacharias and published by Patristic Nectar. The book, Remember Thy First Love, is the full message of those important lectures, and before now I had only the ebook edition. The printed book was rather expensive ten years ago, so when this new edition was announced at a significantly reduced price, I did not hesitate, and am so glad to have it. I expect to carry it with me and plunge into it anew. Thank you, Mount Thabor Press!!!

The title itself, “Remember Thy First Love”, is a tender beckoning that calls us to greater intimacy with Him who is love. We learn how to become more like him; how to “live Christ” in the simplicity of a humble and loving heart. This book is a “desktop” book; not a “library shelf” book. I find myself rereading bits and pieces of it each day and find every bit spiritually nourishing. It is an easy read, clear print and well organized. Remember Thy First Love is a book that you purchase for yourself plus one or several copies as gifts to share with others. So far I have purchased three copies and will likely purchase a few more. They were all very well received and appreciated. Mount Thabor Publishing has a wonderful selection of Christ centered books of varying degrees of complexity; something for everyone.
