We bought this fuel tank because we work on the ranches of west Texas and with trucks and equipment we needed the extra fuel, we built a custom box and cage on the L shape part of the tank to carry additional tools and buckets, works great

The tank looks great in te back of the truck but I was wondering, why did it come with a plastic gas cap and not a steel one?
