If you were taken as I was with Naomi’s collage style, this workshop Fashion Ad to Protest is a must. Although I purchased the book, which I highly recommend, taking the workshop provided me with a hands on understanding of her process, which I love. I’m an experienced collage artist and I’m used to layering and mark making, but Naomi’s technique takes it to a whole new level. In a few short days, I’ve already had so much fun practicing and learning. Without the workshop it would have been too confusing to figure out what comes first and how the layer works. So, if you are looking for fun and a new technique, this is a perfect opportunity. I highly recommend her workshops and I adore her book.

I loved this tutorial and approach to art journaling. I tried making my first collage without doing the tutorial just based on looking at Naomi’s images. But I gained so much from doing the tutorial by learning about her process. She is thoughtful and thorough and clear in all her instructions. And it’s so cool to watch her create as she describes the process. As an art therapist and psychologist and mother to teens and caregiver to parents, it’s been hard to find time for my own art.
