I had one of these as a child. I recently had a lid I needed to remove from a jar and longed to have one of these items. I ended up needing to use a pair of plyers that could have potentially scrapped the jar. As I reuse these jars for canning I didn't want to do that. I am so happy to have found this, so happy I bought 2.
