Bicycle Playing Cards - Aurora

Changing the styling between the aces and face cards, versus the rest, makes this an interesting concept. It might be awkward in some cases but practical in others.

The margin around the colored background is just the wrong proportions. I don't think it WAS a mistake, but it gives the vibe of being a mistake, especially as the indices go right to the edge of the color, again something weird with margins. And then, why the backgrounds of all 4 suits are grey--for the number cards, and gold--for the court cards. The contrast between the red ink and the grey was insufficient. If they had used the gold background for everything it would probably be in my collection. The feel and quality of the paper was just fine, but the design was definitely not my style.
