Thomastik Dynamo Violin String Set 4/4

Love these strings! They subdue a wolf note and have a rich, resonant sound.

Straight out of the packet the strings look and feel great. They unfold smoothly and are easy to string. The tension is such that the G string plays with a full round sound in 1st position and articulates well in higher positions. The tone and dynamic range across the strings in higher positions is exceptional. The response is quick and initially required me to adapt my bowing pressure and the clarity of sound is such that intonation issues stand out clearly. For these reasons I would also recommend these strings for serious intermediate students as well as more advanced players. I play on a 1878 Strad copy with good resonance and a warm tone.
