I've been applying this as a top layer of my morning skincare (before sunscreen) to help my dry, mature skin. It is very light (despite having about 40% petrolatum). I apply a tiny bit all over face & neck. If it doesn't seem like enough, will apply another very light layer. Now it's getting colder and the furnace is on, sometimes the Balm Voyage -- even 2 layers -- still isn't enough, so I will apply a little Vaseline which is, of course, 100% petrolatum. Then wait about 15 min. and apply sunscreen. So it seems like the Balm Voyage may be better, even perfect for me in the warmer months, and I will need something heavier (e. g. , Vaseline) in colder months. It has beautiful ingredients, so I'm glad I bought it to try it out. For those of you whose skin isn't quite as dry as mine, the Balm Voyage would probably be great.
