Bush Stone-Curlew Earrings - Statement Bird Earrings

Redesign

The Curlew was redesigned in May 2026 along with other "bestseller" designs. Wish there'd been some forewarning so I could buy the original but never saw any emails and can only find an announcement on the brands instagram account after the new release. Since they don't make it easy to find photos/info of items sold in previous years I'm stating it here for other customers who might be interested. Comparing with archived photos, the current design has finer details overall especially feathers and face, with a subtle glitter on the back and wings where before was a ripple effect. The legs and beak were grey and are now the same colour as the body. The most noticeable change is the eyes as they were flat concentric circles with a small highlight, and now are an oval shape with a brow, more highlights, ringed in yellow. While they are more defined and aesthetically nicer they give a slight sad/wistful look up to one side, compared to the original wide eyed stare directed at the viewer. I can't say I don't like the new look but I also liked the bright toony version, and these changes depict a very different vibe, so am disappointed I won't have a chance to own both.

Absolutely love these earring but wish they were smaller (although due to the detail and complexity that come with making these birds it would be hard).

Looks and Stone Curlew hoops

Love my Kooka earrings. They’re just the right size, and beautifully made. I get a lot of good comments. The Curlews are equally good quality, a little longer than the Kookas, and as they’re a present, as such not worn by anyone yet.
