Mount does work with a column shift I have a iPhone mini might be different with a big phone. It holds phone securely.

Great product

I installed it on a 2019 Ram Classic Tradesman. While it did fit ,the Tradesman has thicker plastic trim around vent . I really had to open the mounting bracket about as wide as I could while still keeping the screws in and push it firmly into place . It kinda snapped into place. Then I tightened it up ,and its on there solid . Your able to adjust the mounting bar and holder alot,to your liking. The phone holder holds the phone securely in place ,with one hand in and out. Its not going to fall out even if your offroading. I would recommend this product..oh ya ,its all metal no plastic !
