Replacement Blank Car Key/Case/Shell/To Suit Volkswagen

If your original key blade has the same shape as the "HU162T" (remove it completely), you should be able to replace your key entirely, and keep your old blade, using this shell. I had to use the battery from my old key too, as it wasn't included. Works great.
