Power Steering for Honda Pioneer 520

I purchased the Rugged power steering kit mainly to improve steering while snow plowing. What a difference it made. Snow plowing was a lot easier as we got slammed with snow yesterday. Installation took me a few hours but I took my time and the installation went perfect for me. I did not have to remove the front wheels as installation instructions suggested. I tapped into my auxiliary wiring harness (Honda accessory) for switched power instead of tapping into the 12v lighter wire. The auxiliary wiring harness has about 4 individual leads that allows you to add electrical components like winch, lights, or power steering, etc. I originally had a front trunk unit under the hood but it will not fit now because how things are mounted. I suppose you could try to mount the control unit in a different location and maybe you could fit the front trunk with some minor modifications. The sacrifice of the trunk to have power steering is worth it to me. Happy with purchase, install, and performance after plowing snow for two days. Thanks Demon Power Sports.

Great upgrade. Customer support emailed me back within an hour to update the installation instructions. Tap into the black wire of the 12v accessory and not the ignition for the switch power.
