I love these jeans! They are definitely high waisted (above belly button). Fit true to my usual Judy blue size with loads of stretch. Awesome inseam so no cold ankles in cooler weather. I might buy 2 or 3 more pairs. Updated to add... I bought another pair to save b/c I love them so much.
