it's so weird, I love it. I'm not a huge fan of the darker beers that I've tried, they always fall flat, but the IPA-ness hits hard and covers all the bases.

This is a robust black IPA packed full of flavor that I enjoy quite a bit. In fact, I voted for this to join the regularly available beer lineup at Athletic. I only knocked one star off because I felt the combination of the bittering hops and the black malt was just a wee bit bitter for my taste. For those who like an IPA with an unapologetic forward bitterness, you'll love this. Not only because it's great, but because it stands out in a world where a lot of IPA's taste pretty much the same these days. This one stands on its own.

Perhaps the best tasting of your offerings. Matches Tuckers West Coast in balancing flavor and body. Black IPA is a great fall and winter beer
