This is my second "Misti" tool. The first one did not lay flat at the top right hand corner. I used it anyway but did have some difficulty. Now, I ordered a second one because I thought the first one had a defect. The second one is the same as the first. It also has that problem at the top right hand corner. I don't know if this is how it is supposed to be, but I don't think so. . I also have the mini misti and love it. The door lays completely flat and stamps perfectly.
