Secret Garden Tile Stencil - Painting Floors - Painting over Tiles

Great stencil!

I ordered this stencil to DIY my bathroom floor and it turned out great! I was very nervous going into it but I was happy with the results. I used the rust-oleum flooor coating paint kit as the first layer (multiple coats). I let it dry overnight but it was still a little tacky the next day (they said that's normal and you can even walk on it). That tackiness helped the stencil stick down so I didn't experience any bleeding at all. I used regular paint for the stencil and when that dried I used the Rust-Oleum top coat that came with the kit over everything. I bought 3 stencils which also helped move a little more quickly. Overall very pleased with the results and highly recommend these stencils! The first pic is the before, really icky! I used white base coat and a light grey for the stencil paint.

I bought this stencil so that I could use it as a backsplash in my kitchen. And it was absolutely perfect! I even was able to contact The company again and get a special border stencil made so I could place that around my backsplash stencil. They were easy to communicate with and my stencils shipped and got to my house and no time at all. Instead of using the stencil with paint for my backsplash I actually used joint compound and spread it on like peanut butter on the stencil and then pulled the stencil off and it left a raised effect so it actually looks like tiles on my backsplash in my kitchen.
