It’s a versatile spray foam. I bought it for a bus in converting, didn’t want to use board foam on the ceiling and the walls. Due to it not being able to bond and sound deaden at the same time. There is a noticeable difference just with the roof done so as far as the claim of r value yes i would have to say but im not a person of importance in the insulation world..

Saved the day

Had a situation where I needed to replace old fiberglass insulation on HVAC ductwork in attic. Tried the “big name” foam with their wide spray nozzles and it was nothing but a mess. The gun and foam from Akfix was a huge improvement. Could not have asked for the project to go better. Gun sprayed well and cleaned well. Purchased an extra gun just in case, but did not need it. Obviously will have to wait until summer to see just how well the foam insulates, but I’m optimistic this will keep the ductwork from sweating. Order shipped quickly too.
