it is too short. it doesn't connect to any part of the kayak that has a loop or strap made for just such a connexion. otherwise, it is well made. should be about six inches longer, and that might still be tight. there is, in fact an affixed loop strap at the very rear of the kayak to attach things to, and it's on the very rear of the kayak. this company's paddleboards also have the same loop in the same location, and their fins all mount the same. so i'll add some distance with an additional length of durable cord, so it's an easy fix. however this leash should be just a bit longer so there's no additional cord needed.

Nice that you have this, and thank you for giving it to me free as a reward for signing up for your alerts. Goes on easy, and I feel secure in knowing that my Boost Fin is safe and secure. I have lost other surf fins when hitting sand, so this protection is important.
