This is a fabulous lead--very comfortable to hold (and therefore also for the dog to wear), plus a perfect length. Many other leads are too short, which means you don't have enough of a 'spare loop' in your hand. As I expect with most people, I like to keep my working golden relatively close. Having a lead of a decent length helps me to do that and to have better control. If my dog tries to rush over to see someone she knows, I have enough 'spare' in my hand to yank her back with, before she could pull me over. I have had discussions with others about the length of lead, but I just know that I have much better control with a 'spare loop' in my hand.
