Jupiter 10SC in a 5F10 Harvard
I originally considered staying with the stock-style Jensen P10R reissue in my 5F10 Harvard because it’s historically correct for the amp, but I wanted something that kept the vintage tweed character while sounding fuller and smoother. After emailing Chris Young at Jupiter, his recommendation was the 10SC, and it makes a lot of sense for this circuit. The Harvard already has a bright, articulate upper-mid voice, and the Jupiter keeps the classic American sparkle while taming some of the thinner, papery top-end character that modern P10R reissues can sometimes emphasize. The Jupiter 10SC also gives the amp a bigger, richer feel without losing the fast response and touch sensitivity that make a Harvard special. Cleans sound more dimensional, overdrive becomes smoother and more harmonically complex, and the low mids fill out in a way that makes the amp feel less small and boxy. It still sounds unmistakably tweed Fender, just more refined, balanced, and musical — which is exactly why Chris pointed me toward the 10SC in the first place.

Sounds great in my Vibrolux Reverb
Bought (2) 10” SC and put them in my ‘68 CVR. They sound warmer and less brittle/sterile than the previous speakers. Also very lightweight which is nice for gigging. I discovered Jupiter through the Fender Champ connection and I’ve been happy with every speaker purchase, this being my 3rd.
