Poor/ inconsistent Results at a higher price

I wanted to love this camera, but I do not. Shots taken on the auto settings with suffcient light are often dark and blurry. A good portion of my photos come up as totally grey, for no reason I can determine. I am an avid photographer with experience using poliroid and modern instant film and this camera has yielded the most blank shots of any I have ever used. . . When it does work. . . The quality of the pictures is NOT much better than an ancient poliroid, and def not as good as using fugi max film. I get a ton of blank shots. Using the manual settings on the camera is a total shot in the dark- there is no preview or light meter or guide on evaluating what is best for the shot and I have had strange fails. Trying to guess a better manual setting than the auto-settings has gotten me pretty much nowhere. Having to use an app to control the camera has been awkward (and I do not always have service). . . And you get two less instant photos than you would shooting with other brands. I bought a fair amount of film outright, as I purchased the camera around black Friday. . . . But I barely take this camera out and I am not sure if I will want to continue purchasing film once the film I has runs out. I may need to sell and hope that it works better for the next person. Even the pictures that "came out" are so hazy. . . I love a dreamy effect, but these just come across as effected digital shots (edited in poor taste) to look like an analog camera. Something is not right with the camera or with the film.

Love love love. I grew up with a Polaroid so being able to use one and share the fun with my kids is amazing
