The Gnoblin makes for rock solid Reckless connection!

The Gnoblin makes for rock solid Reckless connection - especially when using two of them! Us ADV types are pretty resourceful. Mounting my R40 on my KTM 690R took a bit of customization with my preferred rear rack setup and need to maintain access to the fuel cap (on the rear of the moto if you're not familiar). Pre-existing holes in the rear rack made for great 'Gnob' mounting. The challenge then became getting the mounting plates properly mounted on the R40 base to align with the gnobs. A fifth review star would be earned if The Gnoblin packaging included a durable template, with drill bit/hole sizes annotated there-on, for customizing the location of the mounting plates. Maybe something like a very thin (cheap) plastic with the holes already punched out for tracing onto the mounting surface. The Reckless 40 base sheet has a sets of Gnoblin holes predrilled at the center rear. This wasn't going to work for me so I had to make my own template to drill mounting plate holes in the custom location, using the closest drill bit size that I had available, and a bit of Dremel work. Convenient and easy mounting solution. Put this on my Beta 390 so I could hook up some Trail 16's on it. Survived some gnarly trails and singletrack for 2 days without a single issue.
