Alanna Maternity Stretch Denim Skirt

Odd Fit

I typically wear a size 2 or 4 pre-pregnancy. I’m entering 3rd trimester now. I mail-ordered the size 4, and it fit fine around the stomach but the skirt was like a big bell. I thought I needed to size down, so I tried on the size 2 in person but the skirt part still fit very oddly. Even the size 2 belled out from the belly band instead of slimming down to where my legs are. It might just be my body type, which is pretty straight! Maybe if you have more hip area naturally or tend to gain weight in more than the belly during pregnancy you would get more of the straight skirt look instead of the “bell” look. Didn’t work for me, unfortunately. All the other MSE maternity skirts had the same problem. Would love it if you all made a true straight skirt like the Sara for maternity, maybe without the over-the-belly band!

Great fit for my baby bump with more room for growth later. Just went with my original non pregnant size and it worked for me.
