Not appropriate for my hair type

I purchased this brush for my son and he has fine straight hair. Then I purchased a larger brush from a store in Christchurch. I have very curly hair and the store person said this brush is good for curly hair and it would be great for my hair. I told her my concerns as I can’t use many brushes for my ringlet hair and she still assured me that it would be great. I did go away and think about it and came back and again she assured me it would be good. Even the packing says it’s good for curly hair. This could not be further from the truth. The brush matted my hair and it’s incredibly hard to brush through and my hair went all frizzy. I am not happy at all purchasing a $40 brush that is not appropriate for my hair type. I purposely went into the store to speak with someone as I didn’t want to purchase online if it wasn’t going to be right for my hair type. I was very frustrated with this.
