Great quality but runs small

I love the length, flexibility, and wide elastic waistband of these shorts. I also love their simplicity - no zippers to break or snag. My only complaint is that they run a bit small. I can make them work for me, but would prefer a little more breathing room. I ordered a medium and am 5'7, 140 lbs
