AAE TRAD Vane

Love these for barebow!

These Trad Vanes are right up there with Kaminski WavPro vanes; I believe they're made from the same material from AAE. I won't bother with any other vanes for barebow or wet-weather hunting arrows for my recurves and longbows. They stick well to wraps using a variety of different fletching glues, haven't found one that didn't work well yet. They can be a bit of a pain using a standard bitzenburger jig&clamps, but after a couple you get the hang of it. The price and packaging is hard to beat as well. Will be buying these as long as I find a use for vanes for my single string bows.

Once in a generation advancement in archery

In my opinion, the AAE Trad vane is the most practical advancement in traditional arrow design since the brass insert. When paired with AAE Max Bond you’ll destroy arrows before you have issues with these vanes. I’m shooting these off the shelf and experiencing less wear on the shelf rug and fletching than I ever did with feathers. With less sensitivity to environmental conditions, there are no lingering concerns related to equipment on the range or in the field. AAE Trad vanes check all the performance characteristics I ask for in quality archery equipment.
