Whole White Millet for Mushroom Spawn

We love using the white millet. It's quick and easy to use. Follow the Mycopunk cheat sheet and add 500ml water to 1kg of millet and whack it on the autoclave for happy spawn every time!

Craig from Marvellous mushrooms told me a little secret, well actually more like a short cut. Instead of using time to boil and dry Rye grains (or other grains I have been using in the past), use this millet instead, bag it and just add water before sterilising. It works a treat and colonises beautifully with oyster mushroom and coral tooth mycelium. Highly recommended.
