First time customer El Toro Zoysia plugs

I stumbled on NC Grass plugs while watching videos and learning about zoysia grass. At first I didn’t realize the man I was watching re-doing his entire lawn with zoysia and NC were one and the same. I had already made up my mind that I liked his style and approach. He wasn’t even trying hard to sell. So I ordered two trays of the 2” El Toro plugs and they arrived in two days. These grass plugs are gorgeous. Every single plug was lush, green and healthy. I used a two inch auger on my electric drill because I wasn’t sure that the plug cutting tool would penetrate my hard clay soil. The drill auger made fast work of it. I will be ordering more. I’m doing a large section in a somewhat shady area and I don’t want to overwhelm myself with watering during the hot season( North Mississippi). I wish I lived closer because I would just drive over and pick up a few trays. NC Grass Plugs is a quality operation delivering a high quality product. That’s pretty refreshing! Thanks for everything you put into these plugs, it shows!

Eastern Tennessee El Toro Zoysia

My plugs arrived in perfect condition on March 30, 2026. It was still a bit cool here and I was not ready to get them into the soil. As instructed, I kept them in a sunny area and well hydrated. I did not get them into the ground until April 16, 2026. In the two weeks since delivery, they grew/greened noticeably within the trays. Because of this growth, it was a bit challenging removing some of the plugs from the tray as the stolons from some had made it into adjacent cells. Additionally, the plugs had robust rhizome growth. The ProPlugger tool, that was part of my order, worked perfectly with these plugs. The planting instructions were clear and the related (YouTube) videos were informative.

Not all the plugs looked as good as the normal batches but hoping for the best. I got the plugs just a few days after ordering. Always greqt service from these guys.
