Seriously elevates the experience

Even before I'd started playing AHLCG I loved the classy simplicity of this set, having stumbled across it when I was looking for something similar for the third edition board game. It's an absolute stunner on the table, especially after having been using a cheap business card holder. Even better, there's a satisfying little weighty "click" feel when I put the matching BTST doom tokens into the designated slots.

Enhancements I Didn’t Know I Needed

Where do I begin? I’ve bought a lot from here because everything I ever get is top tier. Care and precision is put into every single token they put out. I know, I know, these are not tokens, but damn are they still not top tier. These are probably the best things I’ve purchased from here in awhile. I love Arkham Horror, and I love anything that makes my life easier. BuyTheSameToken sat next to me on a bench, put their hand on my shoulder and said, “say no more, friend.” Here we have these displays that are a quick snap of their stands and they’re ready to go. You have Agenda to the left and Act to the right and thus the storybook looks like a book, and you feel like you’re actually reading from one. With each turn of the Agenda/Act decks you feel the actual advancement of the scenario you’re doing. You see the doom creep up on the conveniently placed and well fitting holders for their doom tokens. My friend and I used dice for everything, even doom, but with this new addition we use doom specifically for the Agenda. Next to the storybook we have the stand that you hope you never actually have to look at, the “BS Token Modifiers” as they’re affectionally referred to by us. This card stand up tall next to the storybook and is easily seen and read by all at the table, unless they’re blind. No more having to fight to pick up the card, or stand up and cast a shadow over the game to read what the symbol modifier does. Oh no, humble reader, you get to feel proud when playing because everything now is sitting up at a height manageable by a human, and no longer laying flat on your table/mat. Did these change my life for the better? Yes, they did. Did they make a significant change to my playing experience? Yes, they did. Would I buy them again? Yes, I would. Would I recommend you buy them? Yes, again, I would. You can easily store, set up, take down, clean, wipe tears with, and even sturdy enough and well crafted to stand them being dropped off the table. (Not that anyone has any proof of my doing this.) Why buy anything else when this is your last item of this type you’ll buy for Arkham?
