Great hat! Thick and soft felt is easily shaped with steam. The tall, open crown allows for several different shapes such as a tear drop, center dent, or a diamond crease. One thing to watch for is how the black dye gets on your finger as you shape the damp felt. Other than that, it's a very fine hat.

Quality Hat

I got this hat in Silverbelly size 7 1/4. Beautiful hat, fits true to size. I have always shied away from getting the Silverbelly color because in pictures it always looked really bright white. But upon seeing this hat upon delivery, it definitely has a distinct light tan tone to it which I prefer. I decided to pull the trigger on getting one this color because Fashionable Hats had such a good price on it, $170 total, including shipping and taxes. I couldn't walk away from that deal, way cheaper than any other retailer. Shipping was super fast. I would note that the fur felt on this hat is very nice and soft and the leather sweatband is a noticeably better quality than my other Stetson hats that are in grades below the premier. Not sure what shape I'm going to put in the crown yet, but I'm leaning towards doing a cattleman's crease.
