I charged the battery with our winter sun and the light and remote work well.

Once I charged the unit I was having trouble turning it on. I went online and "chatted" with the virtual helper where I explained my situation. Okay..I said to myself..I'll try what she/he suggested. Then an hour or so went by and my phone rings and to my surprise I was speaking with a representative from the company who went through the process to make the unit work properly. I was literally floored to see that a person called me to follow up on how I was doing with the working of the lamp. He went through the ins-and-outs, the do's and don'ts and made sure I was comfortable running it before hanging up. I do a lot of online shopping and never have I experience something of the such. I was truly awestruck and expressed my thanks to this fellow whom he left his name and phone number in the event I needed more help. Great great company and superior customer service.

The pedant light bracket allows the unit to hang level on an angled ceiling. The light unit is compact and modern looking. I have three of these lights working in a 8'x 14' art studio. They provide enough light for me to work at night. On cloudy days I have not tested how long the battery charge will last at night , and how long the solar panel will last in the outdoor elements. Overall for the price I am very satisfied with this product and will probably add several more for the winter months.
