As a mom to four girls now nearly all raised to adulthood, I searched (in their childhood) for a source that I could easily access for the specific purpose of teaching virtues, and the great benefit of daily Christian living. Sing to your Soul Vol. 3 is what I wish I would have had back then. It is a lovely concise compilation brimming with wisdom that is so incredibly useful in helping your children (as well as yourself personally) grow spiritually. I would recommend to read it and then read it again…to know it so well that when your children come to you in the midst of their trouble or even their triumph that the words and table of contents would come easily for you to share. Dr. Ford translates St. John beautifully and organizes it in digestible categories. This book is gold, truly for yourself and/or for the aiding in the raising of children. I can not commend it enough. I will be buying this book for all my girls to start reading now for my future (God-willing) grandchildren.
