Mark One

Handsome design, but coating is not durable

I've had a black Mark One for less than a month and used it exclusively in an office setting. I've never taken it outdoors or in a car nor a pocket as it lives in a holder on my notebook. Within the first three days, the cap has a TON of scratches on it. The very polished look only lasted a few days. Today I noticed several small chips of the black coating near the top of the pen, which is very upsetting as I was hoping it would last a bit longer since its such a nice design. I do have a large collection of pens (MB, Visconti, Lamy) and while many are plastic, none of mine have shown so many signs of wear so quickly. Maybe the coating on my black one is defective, so this may be a one-off occurrence. Overall, great design, satisfying "click", and it was very easy to swap for a different refill, but the durability was a letdown.

Top-tier pen and support

The Mark One is a fantastic pen, but the customer service from Studio Neat is what truly sets them apart. I recently needed some help with the pen after a few months of use, and the team (specifically John) was incredibly responsive and generous in sorting it out immediately. The product is top quality, and the company truly cares about its customers. Buy with confidence.

Great design, push button needs to be steel as well.

I love the look and design of the Mark One, the push button mechanism feels great to click. The push button should've been made from steel as well, the soft aluminum is already pretty worn looking just after a few days of use.
