Forward to the Past!

This mug takes me back to the events of the 50's and 60's which I followed obsessively on my way from second grade, following everything I could find out about the Mercury astronauts when they were selected, to degrees in planetary science from MIT and a job predicting occultations of stars by the moon. For my geophysics project under a former Chief Scientist of the Manned Spacecraft Center, I modeled the gravitational field of the Mare Imbrium, one of my favorite projects ever, and looking at this mug brings back great memories.
