Clarke CRS400 Rotary Soil Sieve

Much easier to use than a manual sieve, though does still require some effort! Instructions were a bit confusing - I had to check a photo on the website to see which way round the bolts were supposed to be. Compost needs to be relatively dry for the sieve to work effectively, but that would be true of any sieve.

Good piece of kit

Very useful device. Easy to put together. Seems well made. Turn the handle and out comes super-fine soil. Much, much easier than shaking a hand-held sieve!

A simple improvement!

The sieve works well with dry compost and takes a quarter of the time of a hand shaken one. It would be greatly improved if the turning knob was not solidly fixed to the spindle. Okay if choosing to wear gloves but still have hold loosely whilst applying gentle downward pressure. I wish to give 4 stars but the system wouldn’t allow it!
