As displaced southerners living in Colorado now, “boiled” and “peanuts” are never used in the same sentence around here. Too many broken shells

I intended to boil these peanuts, but now I will have to sort the broken shells out before I can even consider boiling them. These peanuts look like the ones I buy to feed the birds, not like ones intended for human consumption. Poor quality.
