Better Options for the Price
I’ve been a long time coffee snob and typically order 5lb bags from various roasters. Currently I’m enjoying Onyx and Ruby. Both sell 5lb bags of whole beans for around the same price as Zoka. Recently I learned about Zoka, which is somehow roasted within 10 miles of me in almost secrecy. Trying to support local, I ordered up a bag of the lightest roast I could see available. No one in the house was impressed and the consensus was that for the same money, better options are out there. I wish them well and hope they’d consider a storefront at the roastery one day so people can gather, watch the process, and sample.
