Pastels are a Waldorf inspired medium for creating dreamy artworks that have a wonderful watercolour-like effect. Colour is ‘grated’ using a rubbing/grating block and is rubbed onto the paper with your fingertips.

Really lovely to work with
Lovely colours. My 5 year old has really enjoyed experimenting with different techniques and make some lovely pictures.

Perfect little set
A perfect little set of pastels, ideal for children (and their grown ups!) who are new to this art material and technique. The sweet little circular box opens up to reveal two layers: the top with the little sandpaper block and brush and the bottom with the coloured pastels. We're enjoying creating some waldorf-inspired artwork!
