This monogimbal is superb ! The form, fit and function are exceptional. This item is very well made, like other products I have purchased from Leofoto. I have purchased many other higher priced options and I can say that Leofoto can compete and at noticeable lower costs. Leofoto is now my first stop when searching for new photography gear. I have paired this to my Nikon z8 body and 800mm f6.3 lens. The weight of this combo is around 7.25 lbs and since this head is rated at 22 lbs there are no stability issues. It’s smooth and fluid but can easily lock in place as needed. Speaking of locking, the lockable Arca-Swiss lever is a game changer for me. No more worries about accidentally making contact with the lever while setting it up or walking around during my wildlife encounters. I can easily recommend this product, very pleased with this purchase.

The perfect alternative to a gimbal

Having a gimbal on a monopod always feels a bit counter-productive. You're trying to stay light, but you have a giant gimbal cluttering everything up. On the other hand, with a ball head you're forced to keep a hand on the monopod to stop everything flopping around. This is the perfect, and most elegant solution. Small, simple, effective. Perfect.
